WeeRace Kids 1 Mile Fun Run & Roll

Due to the recent flooding in Lake County, and sadly the flooding of 15 Commerce Drive, WeeRace is currently on hold. Please check back soon for updates on our new Race Date!

WeeRace Kids 1 Mile Fun Run & Roll is for children and teenagers of all levels and abilities. We are here to inspire, encourage, support and promote physical fitness for children of all ages. Everyone needs to move and spend time together outside. This is a non-competitive race to inspire kids to move with support from peers while having family and friends cheer for them on the sidelines!

Race is for all children and teenagers of all levels and abilities and heats may be determined the day of the race.  Each athlete must have an adult/guardian present for the duration of the race, although only young athletes will be allowed on the course.  Accommodations for weather will be available, with water stations throughout and at the end of the course, air conditioned units and options for shorter courses as needed.  Buddies will be available for athletes who need additional assistance and the race is for fun and will not be timed.  All athletes and their families are invited to attend Center Street Block Party following the event.  Together we’ll enjoy free food, music, games and a bouncy house.

Have questions, please contact Julie Kwasiborski at julie@therapeuticlinks.com  or (847) 548-3458 ext #2

Proceeds from this event will go to WeeBits, a local non-profit organization providing awareness and guidance to those families with infants/toddlers who are "at-risk" and may fall outside the boundaries of existing child developmental programs.  WeeBits provides FREE enrichment classes and workshops for families and caregivers to help them understand how to help their child. Our goal is to raise $575 to offer 2 classes and 2 parent workshops to families with Warren Special Recreation Association in Gurnee in Fall 2017.  Additional information available at www.weebitsforfamilies.org
