Update on Past Parent and Professional Workshops:  

Baby Led Weaning. Thank you to Jill Rabin, Speech Pathologist and Board Certified Lactation Consultant, for sharing her expertise in the Baby Led Weaning Technique. September 2016

Singing and Signing with your child.  It was fun learning new songs and a few signs with the families. We were able to provide Early Intervention credits for this course. Parent Approved "Santa Wish list":  suggestions of toys, games and books for all ages and a variety of prices in November. We were able to provide Early Intervention credits for this course.   Thank you to Lindsey Fry, SLP at Pediatric Interactions and WeeBits executive director and Sarah Rosten, SLP at Pediatric Interactions and WeeBits executive board member for the presentation in November 2014. 

How does where I put my child impacts his/her development (discussion of plagiocephaly, w-sitting, “container babies”, torticollis and importance of movement) in October.  We were able to provide Early Intervention credits for this course.  Thank you to Sherri Golebiowski, PT at Little Heroes and WeeBits executive board member and Julie Kwasaborski, OT at Therapeutic Links for the informative presentation in October 2014.  

Update on Past Awareness Events:

Diaper Dash

September 2015. We donated water bottles to our Partner, Twice as Nice Mother and Child, and helped bring awareness to their Diaper Bank. Jill White from Pediatric Interactions ran as our representative and won First Place in her age group!

State Career College Summer Open House

July 2015.  Shared information regarding free developmental screenings. 

Grayslake Farmer's Market

July 2015. We spent 3 Wednesday afternoons playing with local families and letting them know who we are and what we do. We even had giveaways for each child that stopped by! 

SPEECH A PALOOZA

Lindenhurst Arbor Day Fair 

Thanks to Ace Hardware in Grayslake for the donation so we could plant basil and give families kid-friendly recipes as they watch their plant and little one grow.  We also received $84 in donations.
